Well done us: A successful survey complete
Every year, health care facilities must undergo the yearly state survey. Anyone who has ever experienced one can confidently say that it isn't for the faint of heart.
A team of state surveyors, usually comprised of nurses, administrators, and other experts in the field, arrive at the site unannounced and stay anywhere from a few days to more than a week.
Their job: Going through every facet of the health care facility to ensure that everything is as good as it should be. Needless to say, it's a rigorous exercise - but a necessary one.
Summit View of Farragut and other facilities can learn about which areas and departments are strong, and at the same time find out where and how we can improve. So while it's slightly short of a blood-letting, the annual state surveys are definitely worth the time and effort.
Our state survey ended last Wednesday, and we did well! Our staff outdid themselves, and so we decided to celebrate - and what better way to celebrate than with CAKE!
TWO cakes, in fact!
Here's a big shout-out and thank you to everyone who made this year's survey a success!
